Learning
- Google Analytics, so I actually understand what I'm looking at.
- Google Tag Manager, so I can implement tags and tracking scripts in a way that make sense.
- Ahrefs, so I can actually do intelligent reporting on our SEO performance, gaps, and opportunities.
- JavaScript, because it's time to learn a real programming language and because I want to do more with web dev and things like Google Apps Script.
Professional
- Building WordPress sites and dialing in my workflow.
- Rebuilding the Midwest Roofing website from the ground up.
- Wrapping my head around Webflow for some freelance engagements.
- Getting better in DaVinci Resolve.
- Implementing a content creation pipeline/muscle for our small-but-mighty marketing team at Midwest Roofing.
- Building a data pipeline for optimizing Google Ads campaigns (specifically Performance Max).
- Building a marketing data dashboard with Funnel.io and Looker Studio.
Personal
- Publishing here a minimum of once a week.
- Honing my drumming skills after being away from the kit for five years.
- Helping my church migrate their church management system (basically a CRM + communication hub + admin portal) to Planning Center.
